After a day to slightly adjust to being in the Americas, we left San Francisco for New Mexico. It was just as fabulous and beautiful as I had hoped. We stayed the first night in Santa Fe, where I took almost no photos at all, and none worth posting, despite the lovely adobe buildings that surrounded us where ever we went. I just enjoyed wandering around instead, and appreciating the dry, sagey, smokey desert air. The next day, we headed off for Bandelier National Monument, via Chimayo, and some delighted comments from me about the landscape.
